IFCT POLICY

As a non-profit company, IFCT's goal is to find the best undiscovered and overlooked projects and screen them to industry professionals. IFCT volunteers, drawing on industry connections, send award winning projects to agents and distributors for acquisition consideration. (This policy is unique to IFCT.)

IFCT is proud to announce the following are distribution companies are lined up this year to attend/review IFCT projects: Tapestry TV, MTI Home Video, The Sundance Channel, Vanguard Cinema, Women Make Movies, Apollo Cinema, Big Film Shorts, The Comedy Network, Thirteen/ WNET, CinemaNow, Foursight, Firstlook Rentals, Select Media, Fanlight Productions, Pathfinder Pictures, ZeD acquisitions, Maple Lake Releasing, Frameline Distribution, Picture This! Entertainment, and Wolfe Video IFCT's policy is that award winning films are sent to agents and distributors for evaluation and potential distribution. In keeping with this agenda, IFCT will see distributors reviewing content for potential acquisition.

A list of distribution companies are scheduled to either attend IFCT events this year, or receive selected IFCT projects after the events have taken place. Past projects which have screened at IFCT currently are distributed through Showtime, Artisan, Big Film Shorts, Women Make Movies, Transmission Films, Fox Studios, Video Project, Amaze Films, PBS, among many others.

In short, the festival's goal is to gain exposure for the "undiscovered film."
